The course that you study with us will depend on a number of factors including your career ambition and prior achievements.
It is very important that you leave the North East Consortium with an excellent set of qualifications that will allow you to progress once you leave us.
All courses have specific entry requirements and you will be offered guidance and support to ensure that you elect to study the best course for you.
You will need to achieve at least 5 GCSE’s at grade C or above including English Language and Mathematics at grade 6 before you can study an A level course. Most A level subjects have additional entry requirements. Please download the full application pack using the links below:
Alternative Level 3 courses including BTEC , Technical and VTCT courses
You will need to have achieved at least 5 GCSE’s at grade C or above or an acceptable level 2 qualification. Some courses have additional entry requirements.
Level 2 Courses
These courses are for those students who have previously achieved mostly grade D at GCSE. Once you have successfully completed these courses you can progress onto a linked level 3 course the following academic year.
Your course choice will be discussed at interview.
It is possible to study a combination of both A Level and Vocational Level 3 courses. You will be advised as to the suitability of the subject combination you chose at interview based on your predicted and actual GCSE results
